In today's podcast episode of the promo playbook by Cubic Promote, I ask three of our team members what are the type of gifts they like to receive and what are the type of gifts that our customers have been asking from them. So I'm gonna start things off right now. Swami, you look like the perfect person I would like to talk to. Got some couple of questions for you. Do you have a spare moment or two? Yeah, sure. Brilliant. All right. If Cubic Promote came came up to you and asked and gave you a Christmas gift tomorrow, which one from this list would you choose? A pickleball set, a notebook, a basketball, a food hamper, a power bank and charging kit, a very expensive coffee mug, a very expensive pen, a picnic blanket, or a barbecue set. So that's a big choice to choose from. Which one would you choose? Oh, great question.
SPEAKER_00:Actually, depending on what's inside the hampers. If there's some good wine, maybe I will go for the hampers, but I might even go for like the power bank and everything.
SPEAKER_02:So power so hampers are number one, power bank is number two. Fantastic. Be honest, in this list, which one would you secretly re-gift?
SPEAKER_00:Maybe the pickable set?
SPEAKER_02:The pickable set.
SPEAKER_00:Actually, it's a great gift, but yeah, maybe the or just maybe the pens. The pen. Yeah. So pen loses out.
SPEAKER_02:And Swami, do you think there's there is a gift on this list or any other list of products that we sell that every office worker would appreciate?
SPEAKER_00:I think the mug is one of the best sellers. Just like you can't miss. Can't go wrong with bugs.
SPEAKER_02:If you had to choose a gift over the holidays, which one would win?
SPEAKER_00:For the holiday, uh, I think I will choose the barbecue set. I think yeah.
SPEAKER_02:And out of our entire range of products, what is one gift that you would never ever buy for yourself, but you wouldn't mind receiving it?
SPEAKER_00:That's a really good question, though. Maybe a nice notebook. I'm not really, you know, just like my hand. Emphasis on nice, obviously. Yeah, I like a mole skin notebook, for example. And I've got a terrible hand writing. But the thing I still like to write, I guess so. And just to write some notes and stuff like that. So maybe a notebook. I I will I won't buy one for myself, but I would like to, yeah, uh have it as a gift. Great.
SPEAKER_02:Final question, Swami. Of all the Christmas orders that you fulfill for customers, what's the one trend that you've been seeing over the past couple weeks?
SPEAKER_00:Uh, I reckon the hampers are quite a hit. Uh, we've done quite a lot of hampers, like we put different ones for like, you know, pickable set of some good wines, cheese board and stuff like that. Yeah. Brilliant.
SPEAKER_02:Swami, thank you so much.
SPEAKER_00:It was a pleasure. Thanks.
SPEAKER_04:Hello there off the cart.
SPEAKER_02:I've got the lovely Catherine here. How are you doing, Catherine?
SPEAKER_04:Good, thank you. How are you?
SPEAKER_02:Brilliant. Hey, got a couple questions here related to Christmas gifts. So if Cubic Promote gave you a Christmas gift tomorrow, from this list, which one would you grab first? And here's the list. We got a pickleball set, a very, very nice notebook, a basketball, a food hamper, a power bank kit to discharges and everything. A very expensive coffee mug, a very expensive pen, a picnic blanket, or a barbecue set.
SPEAKER_04:Ooh, I think possibly the food hamper.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah, the same aswami. That's exactly what he chose. And what would your second one be?
SPEAKER_04:Ooh, there were an expensive coffee mug.
SPEAKER_02:Correct, yes. So that would be the second one. If there was a gift on that list that you think, or or any other list that you think every office worker would appreciate, what do you think that might be? Gotta be the barbecue set. Gotta be the barbecue set. Coming into summer. Makes perfect sense. What's a gift that you never ever buy for yourself, but you wouldn't mind receiving?
SPEAKER_04:Probably a picnic set. Because I don't really go on picnics, but I think that's something that's good to have. I don't know, because it's something I wouldn't buy.
SPEAKER_02:True, true. And finally, you would have done, you know, you and me would have both done a lot of different gifts for Christmas over the past couple weeks for companies big and small. Have you noticed any trends with all the companies you've been looking after?
SPEAKER_04:Oh. There's been a trend for umbrellas, baseball caps, and socks.
SPEAKER_02:And socks. Three are my favorite products. Catherine, thank you so much. Thank you. And now we have the lovely Wendy. Wendy, how are you doing today?
SPEAKER_03:Good, good. Monday. Happy Monday.
SPEAKER_02:Me too, happy Monday. Wendy, so if QB Promote gave you a Christmas gift tomorrow, which one from this list would you grab first? And here is the list. We have a pickleball set, a very nice notebook, a basketball, a food hamper, a power bank kit complete for charges, a very expensive coffee mug, an expensive pen, a picnic blanket, or a barbecue set.
SPEAKER_03:Oh, there's a lot of great choices up there. I'm toiling between either the pickleball set or the a very nice coffee mug. I guess I would choose pickleball set because I can give it to my children and we can play it through throughout Christmas.
SPEAKER_02:Something to share around.
SPEAKER_03:That's exactly right.
SPEAKER_02:So I take it from your second answer that your second preference would be a very, very nice coffee mug.
SPEAKER_03:That's correct.
SPEAKER_02:Brilliant. And Wendy, share with me what's a nice gift that you would never ever buy for yourself, but would love to receive. You could choose any item from that list, or you could choose a different item from our range of products that we sell.
SPEAKER_03:Does it have to be the product that we sell? Okay. I'm guessing in our range we sell skull candy as well, skull candy headphones, the the big one. The big bulky one. I love them because they are noise cancellation, good quality, but they are a big bulky. So if I were to buy it, I will buy the small earphone because it's just my personal preference. But if someone gave it to me, I wouldn't reject it. Because I always sometimes do want a noise cancellation happen too.
SPEAKER_02:Me too. Is there a gift on that list, once again, that we spoke about, or any other lists that you think every office worker in Australia would appreciate?
SPEAKER_03:A notebook and a pen or a pen. As much as it's yeah, something very basic, but as much as uh it's very basic, like my table. I got two pens, but whenever I take a message, I can't find any pen. And when I write, I can't find any pen to write. So it never hurt to have fixed pens.
SPEAKER_02:And this year, Wendy, we've done a lot of Christmas gifts already for a lot of different businesses, big and small. What's the one Christmas gift trend that you've been seeing over the past couple weeks, if not the past couple months, that's growing amongst office workers?
SPEAKER_03:The office workers they would like technology, but a bit more better quality and better quality retail brand that they trust, as well as something that is not so common. So, like not our everyday power bank or charger cable and all that, but they would like, say, uh premium quality speakers, for example. Something that they can take out or to share, enjoy, like uh equipment that they can enjoy together with our dear friends.
SPEAKER_02:Wendy, thank you so much. No worries. And now and now I have the wonderful and new Gupta with me today. How are you doing? I'm doing very well. Thanks, Charles. How are you? Very good. If Cubic Promote gave you a Christmas gift tomorrow, which one from our list would you grab first? And here is the list: a pickleball set, a very nice notebook, a basketball, a food hamper, a power bank kit, a very expensive coffee mug, a very expensive a picnic blanket or a barbecue set? Well, probably the picnic set or the pickleball set. Great choice. And is there a gift on this list or any other list that you could think of that you think every office worker would appreciate? Probably the gift hamper, to be honest. Something to nibble on, something to eat. Yes. We all like food, don't we, Charles? We all need food as well. What's a gift that you never buy yourself but you wouldn't mind receiving? It could be on this list or any other list. Probably a new car. Sure. Why not? I'll let HR know about that. Thank you. And surely you have some influence stuff as well, Charles. I will try my very best, no promises. You and I have done a lot of Christmas gifting over the past couple weeks, possibly months for our clients, big and small. What's one Christmas gift trend that you've seen so far that's growing amongst amongst office workers?
SPEAKER_01:Normally the employers take them out to stake lunches, actually. And physical gifts? Physical gifts. Well, wine, chocolates, donuts, that's also good, but also good quality merch, maybe a nice shirt, jacket, for example. Love the answers. Anil, thank you so much. Anytime, Charles, anytime.
